Monday is ok, too. Part XIII: pattern
For today's theme I don't have a picture. I received one in my mailbox I can't compete with anyway. Here are some agricultural patterns as photographed by the ASTER sensor on NASA's Terra satellite. Amazing, aren't they? Click on the image for a larger photo and explanations. Other entries: Iona. Next week's theme: numbers.
P.S. If I'd live in Barcelona, I might have posted this Google Earth placemark.

Argh! I posted a long (by my standards) comment to your post and it got lost somehow.
Thanks for the site (bookmarked!) and for the Google Earth placemark which I can't see because I don't have the OS required (it happens a lot lately).
Hopefully I will update it pretty soon :).
(so sad about my lost comment... such a bunch of intelligent and witty words that the world won't see... sigh)

Boooh to the disappearing of your post. I will eternally mourn the loss. Let's blame Blogger, they're just unreliable.
Indeed, NASA's Earh Obervatory is a treasure trove of beautiful images and interesting articles. They have a weekly e-mail newsletter to which you can subscribe here.
What large cat is running inside your computer now? Uh.... what were they again? Cheetah, Puma, Jaguar, Panther and Tiger I think. And to which one will you be upgrading?

Thanks Katja, I really appreciate that 'boooh'! :D
If you're typed the big cats in order then I must be running over a Panther (heh).
I'm a 'if it works, don't mess with it' kind of person so I'm a bit unsure to update it; maybe I'll wait till september when holidays are over and then I can get help in case I need it.
Btw, very interesting newsletter, do I need to say I'm now subscribed? :)
Iona (hunting for a Tiger...)

Ooooh, a tiger, nice. Before I bought this peecee-thing here at the local supermarket (really), I had a left-over G3 from work, running Mac OS 10.3 (panther). I loved it, until I became addicted to playing the sweet but addictive game of PuzzlePirates. My computer was just too slow for that. So I bought a new one and the G3 was taken care of by a friend of a friend, so she's in good hands now and it's all XP for me. But I still have a soft spot for Macs.
What I forgot to mention earlier, here's the Barcelona pattern image the Google Earth link points to.

Ooooooh more games, just what I needed! :O
Right now I'm so tired I can't make head or tails from Googles's photo, but at first sight yeah, I think it must be BCN ;0).
Thank you very much, you're such a great source of superveryinteresting links :).
As for my mac, I'm the proud owner of an 'old' G4 (7 years I think) and hopefully we'll be together for quite a long time yet.
Bona nit (good night) and my apologies to your readers for 'hijacking' your post ;0)

Right, no more games :S. I had to quit PuzzlePirates cold turkey.
Here's a hint for the Barcelona picture: take a look at the compass rose, North is not up this time...
Sleep well, I'll try and send some of the rain we're having lately in your direction!
And don't worry 'bout hijacking: not many other people seem to be around. And what's more important: I like your posts! Keep it up :D

Oh yes there are people around here... just the silent type :) ('Mondayisoktoo' site's hits are coming mostly from your blog!:D No returning hits though... maybe I could set a table with drinks and some food to encourage them to come back... even to participate?!)
:)

Just a quick note: It's raining!!
You have some serious powers, don't you?
(and it seems we're going to have a few days with relatively fresh temperatures! lalalaaaaaa....)
3/8/06 22:07
Perhaps my powers come from the magic stroopwafels I've been eating lately? Enjoy your coolness :D
